The erstwhile Udaipur University was established in the tribal area of Southern Rajasthan with headquarters at Udaipur. A 28 year old Rinki Chaudhry committed suicide by hanging herself in her Goregaon flat in Mumbai on Thursday.
Additional Commissioner of Police Ramrao Pawar said that Rinki was reportedly found hanging by her boyfriend in the kitchen at her residence in Vallabh Apartment on Thursday evening.
According to police, Rinki had gone to the kitchen while her companion was sitting in the hall. No suicide note has been found and police are investigating the matter.

Siliguri College Girl commits Suicide after MMS leaked
A Siliguri College diploma student committed suicide after hanging herself from the ceiling of her room on Wednesday night.The girl was under depression following circulation of a MMS clip. According to the police, the 18-year-old decease was student of Siliguri Government Polythechnic College. The MMS was prepared by one of the student in the college and it got circulated.Police said that one Anindya Garai made the obscene clips of the girl and circulated it to others. The girl met Anindya at hostel mess where she was filmed on mobile phone.
The police said a hunt was on for Anindya. The youth, who is a resident of Sonamukhi in Bankura district, escaped after the first FIR. We have deputed an officer and are searching for him, ASP Sharma said. After yesterday’s incident, the girl’s mother has filed another FIR, levelling the same allegations against him.

The Supreme Court will on Wednesday pronounce its judgement in the case relating to rape and murder of Delhi college student Priyadarshini Mattoo by a former IPS officer's son who was sentenced to death by the High Court. An apex court Bench of Justices H S Bedi and C K Prasad had on July 29 reserved its verdict on convict Santosh Kumar Singh's appeal challenging the verdict of the Delhi high court convicting and awarding the death sentence to him for the rape of Priyadarshini over 14 years ago.
CBI has sought upholding of the death sentence saying the high court had correctly the evidence leading to his convictions.
Santosh is law student in the Delhi University had raped and murdered Priyadarshini a 3rd year law student in January 1996.

The Nirmohi Akhara, one of the main litigants in the Ayodhya dispute, is a Hindu religious order which follows its own faith and customs.
In Thursday’s Ayodhya verdict by the Allahabad High Court, the akhara was allotted a one-third share in the disputed land.
It has been in the light in connection with the Ayodhya debate since 1959 when it filed a suit to take over the disputed site of Babri mosque.
Nirmohi Akhara filed a suit in January 1885 with the sub-judge of Faizabad, seeking consent to construct a temple for Hindu god Ram in the area called the Ram Chabutra, adjacent to the Babri mosque.
