Pune School Admissions

Save time on document verification at Bishop kalyani nagar. I am one of the parents who are waiting for their turn to do document verification at bishop kalyani nagar. Yes you need at least 3 hours to get your turn. Why its taking this much time just for 100 documents per day and there are about 3-4 windows. Well when i compare kalyani nagar bishop process with Undri bishop school process.
I have visited the Bishop school undri for document verification on the given slot, which was given in application status page online. When I approached the school sharp at 9AM. There were few parents sitting there. One guy came and he asked us to show our documents one by one. He started checking documents against originals. He also helped the parents to keep the documents in order, ie first transport slip, then Rs. 500 slip, application form, birth certificate(If name of child/parents is not in English then affidavit in English is required) then residence proof and lastly studio size photograph. All xerox copies should be attested. If anything is missing then he will guide for further process and asked us to get it done before approaching to the counter.
This process saves lot of time for parents as well as the person sitting at counter, since there is first level of screening done.
Well When visited bishop school at kalyani nagar, there total mess. There is token system. You get token and you have to wait for your turn. I guess kalyani nagar bishop school need to increase their staff if they stick to this token system or follow Bishop undri process. Here are bishop kalyani nagar parents are directly allowed to visit the counter, and then the person sitting at counter checks and verifies each and every thing which takes at least half an hour for each person and for typical one takes one hour also.
Well If you want to save your time during document verification at Bishop kalyani nagar then, prepare the documents checklist like,

1. Transport survey slip
2. Rs.500 slip
3. application form 
4. birth certificate
5. residance proof
6. family photo (studio size, with white background)

Get all xerox copies attested.  Go to school sharp at 9AM. Get the token and depending on token you can come back later, ie calculate 15minutes as average time per person. so if you got token number as 10 come after one and half hour.
Well there are also pending forms comes and goes directly to counter, ie previous day some pending documents.
After all these hurdle and three hours time spent at bishop kalyani nagar you get one small slip(less than 1/4th of paper size) as acknowledge slip.
You need to carry this slip and all documents in original while going for Interactive Session at school

RIMS CBSE pune, nursery school located at undri, has following fees structure for the year 2012-2013.
One time Rs. 30,000/- which is non refundable and goes towards admin charges. Apart from this, Rs. 2500/- per month ie Rs.7500 per quarter. Please note that this fees does not include uniforms, books, shoes and transport charges. Transport charges depends on where you are located, if you are staying nearby hadapsar then it will be Rs. 15,000/- per annum. Opps.. They have two batches, A and B. each batch have 25 students.
Also note that they are following CBSE pattern and not yet affiliated to CBSE. This is third year, and hopefully they will get it.

Now My real view about this school, RIMS CBSE, undri pune, is located around 2 KMs from Undri Naka. Surrounded by farms only one three story building at right hand side. The entrance is good with big banner. The first look when you enter the school is, the ongoing construction from second and third floor. Well this was the concern for me and my first impression for this school was gone below average. Well rest is OK, like school classrooms, quite big, but little dusty may be because of ongoing construction in the school.

Delhi Public School Pune which has CBSE board pattern, starts admissions process in November itself, and they are very strict about age limit. I was trying for my son for nursery but not luck this time.
Currently admissions are closed - so try your luck in march, if there are vacancies, you will be able to apply in March, 2012. Admissions vacancies, may be announced on March 01, 2012

Age limit for -
Nursery during academic session 2012-13, should have completed 3.5 years of age, on March 31, 2012.

So if you have missed DPS Pune for this year you can apply for your child’s admission to Nursery in academic session 2013-14, the process for which will be announced in October, 2012. The fee structure and all related information will be posted on the website at that time.
